Coffee Goblin is an Android app from lockyapps (com.lockyapps.coffeegoblin). This page describes what the app stores and what it does not send.
What stays on the device
The app stores, in its private storage on the device:
- Caffeine logs: drink name, caffeine amount, and the time you had it.
- Drink presets, including ones you edit, favourite, hide, or add yourself.
- Settings: usual bedtime, caffeine half-life, bedtime caffeine target, typical dose, and theme.
That information is there so the app can show an estimate, a bedtime figure, a suggested cutoff, and the goblin’s mood. Uninstalling Coffee Goblin removes the app’s stored data with it.
What the app does not do
Coffee Goblin does not use an account. It does not use analytics. It does not use crash reporting. It does not show ads. It does not ask you to sign in, and the app itself does not open a network connection to upload your logs, presets, or settings.
lockyapps does not receive your caffeine log. There is no server copy of it.
Home-screen widget
The Android home-screen widget reads the same on-device data so it can show the estimate and the live mood. It does not send that data anywhere.
The app can run briefly after the phone starts, and on a local schedule, so the widget can refresh. That work stays on the device.
Android backup
Coffee Goblin does not upload your data. Android’s own device backup, if you have it turned on, may include an app’s private storage in the backup tied to your Google account. That backup is controlled by Android and your account settings, not by Coffee Goblin.
Permissions
The app requests permission to receive the boot-completed signal so the widget can be scheduled again after a restart. It does not request location, contacts, camera, microphone, or notification access for advertising.
Children
Coffee Goblin is a general caffeine tracker. It is not directed at children, and it does not create an account or transmit personal data to lockyapps.
Estimates
Caffeine metabolism varies between people. Coffee Goblin provides estimates based on your selected caffeine half-life and is not medical advice. Drink caffeine content also varies. The app does not say whether a caffeine level is safe, healthy, or harmful.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated page will be published at this address with a new date. The copy in the app’s About screen matches these facts: logs, presets, and settings stay on the device, with no account, analytics, crash reporting, or network connection.
