A caffeine tracker that stays on the phone

Know when to feed the goblin — and when to stop.

Coffee Goblin estimates how much caffeine is still in your system, how much will likely remain at bedtime, and when it is getting late for another typical drink.

The mug would say In the zone. Nicely caffeinated.

Coming soon on Google Play How the estimate works
Coffee Goblin home screen: 128 milligrams estimated remaining, a decay curve for today, and 12 milligrams at 10:30 pm, below the bedtime target.
Add caffeine sheet with quick drinks: espresso, a double shot, and a flat white, plus a caffeine amount and the time consumed.

Logging

A couple of taps for a usual drink.

Espresso, flat white, tea, energy drinks, and the rest of a starter library are already there. Pick one, or type your own amount. Favourites and recents stay at the top.

Presets are starting points. Caffeine in a real cup varies by product and how it’s made, so you can edit a drink or log a custom one.

What it watches

The number, the bedtime, and the goblin.

Estimates

A half-life, not a lab result.

  1. Log the drink

Name, milligrams, and when you had it. Future times don’t count until you reach them.

  2. Let each dose fade

The default half-life is 5 hours. You can set it between 2 and 10. Very old doses drop out of the sum.

  3. Look ahead to bedtime

Bedtime remaining uses your usual time. If today’s bedtime has already passed, tomorrow’s is used.

  4. See if another one fits

The cutoff is the latest a typical dose still fits in the gap under your bedtime target. If it doesn’t fit now, there is no clock time to show.

remaining = dose × 0.5 (hours elapsed ÷ half-life)
